The U.S. Department of Agriculture is threatening to withhold SNAP management money from Democrat-led states that have refused to turn over personal data on recipients.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said Tuesday that the Trump administration needs information on SNAP recipients to crack down on fraud.
"As of next week, we have begun and will begin to stop moving federal funds into those states until they comply, and they tell us and allow us to partner with them to root out this fraud to protect the American taxpayer," Rollins said at a cabinet meeting.
