The Gene Marcus Piano Competition is accepting applications for its annual event.

The competition at Purdue University Fort Wayne seeks pianists age 18 and younger who live within 100 miles of the city.

Applications are due Jan. 8, and the first round of live auditions takes place Jan. 24 and 25.

The winners’ recital and awards are Feb. 8 with cash prizes in four age divisions.
