Santa brings holiday cheer to American Family Children's Hospital

MADISON (WKOW) -- A jolly visitor helped bring holiday cheer to patients at American Family Children's Hospital on Wednesday.

Santa Claus arrived by fire truck as a parade of emergency vehicles drove past the hospital, waving to the children inside. Madison Firefighters Local 311 organizes the annual visit, which aims to bring a sense of normalcy and joy to families spending the holidays in the hospital.

Organizers say the event is always met with overwhelming gratitude from patients and their families.

Each year, the visit also includes a donation used to purchase gifts for every patient at the hospital.
