LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The cold winter-like weather pattern will continue in the Louisville area into the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to stay well below average the next 5 to 7 days across our area. Although we’re not expecting any major storm systems to move through the lower Ohio Valley while the cold air is still in place, a couple of weaker systems could bring our area some scattered pockets of patchy light snow or flurries.

The first chance for a few flurries across our area will come Thursday morning. Another cold front will rapidly push through the region, bringing us more clouds and potential for some scattered flurries early Thursday morning.
