WATERLOO(KWWL)--One of the Iowa Hawkeye Football programs' 18 signees comes from the Cedar Valley.

Waterloo West 4-star offensive lineman Carson Nielsen is a 6' 7" 295 pounder with a big frame and huge potential.

Nielsen was a major force for a West high football team that qualified for back to back state playoff appearances.

Nielsen says he chose the Hawks--after making a couple of trips to Iowa City.
