WASHINGTON — After having its staff slashed to a bare minimum by the Department of Government Efficiency, the White House said on Wednesday that the US Institute of Peace will be renamed in President Donald Trump's honor.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly says the 41-year-old non-profit will now be named after President Donald Trump.

Kelly provided WUSA9 with the following statement:

“The United States Institute of Peace was once a bloated, useless entity that blew $50 million per year while delivering no peace. Now, the Donald J.
