Todd Grimshaw's horror at the hands of his partner Theo Silverton is set to ramp up in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as the latter's abuse continues to escalate.

Those who watch the ITV soap have been left heartbroken to see Todd being coercively controlled, and more recently, physically assaulted, by Theo, just months after their first meeting on the cobbles.

Fans will recall that when they randomly met on the cobbles earlier this year, with Theo working as a scaffolder on a local site, there was an instant spark between the pair. But when Theo wanted to keep their romance under wraps, it was soon revealed he was hiding a secret wife and teenage kids, having been battling his sexuality all his life.
