Nine counties are set to wake up to 4cm snow NEXT WEEK - as the weather gets worse ahead of Christmas . A snowy blitz will hammer Scotland and Northern Ireland from 6am on December 12, according to WX Charts.
Maps and charts from the forecaster, which are based on GFS modelling and Met Desk data, shows up to 2mm falling per hour in Ayrshire and Londonderry at around 6am.
In England, and Westmorland, Cumbria, Durham, Cumberland, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and North Yorkshire face heavy snow too, with depths of up to 5cm across parts of the North East and North West of England.
