OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Temperatures have dropped to the coldest levels of the season with several spots going below zero with the air temperature, especially north of the metro.

Wind chills for much of the morning will be near or below -10, cold enough that frostbite is possible in 30 minutes or less.

Despite a lot of sunshine and temps warming into the mid 20s, the chill will remain as the south wind picks up at 10 to 20 miles per hour from late morning into the afternoon.

This means that the wind chill during the daytime hours will peak in the single digits above zero.

The good news is that temperatures will not fall all that much tonight; we will be nearly steady in the upper teens most of the night.
