An Edinburgh man who has made 12 aid trips to Ukraine’s front line this year and is preparing for another crucial supply run ahead of Christmas. Oleg Dmitriev is appealing for donations to support the most vulnerable civilians caught in war-torn regions.
The 45-year-old founded Sunflower Scotland in 2022 and has completed at least 25 aid missions since the war began, delivering life-saving medical supplies, makeshift ambulances, clothes, and food. His next trip, set for December 10, will deliver long-life batteries to foster homes in Kharkiv, which each care for eight to ten orphans at a time.
