Thanksgiving was very special to me and not just because of good food and time with family. These are two of my favorite words: “Thanks” expresses gratitude for all we have and do for family, friends, neighbors, and community. “Giving” represents time, support, and commitment to making life better for all.
This is now the season when we hear from nonprofit organizations and leaders helping those in need and to provide more opportunities. It is a time to step up. The Giving Season. However, since many of us have benefited from a helping hand from others, I prefer to promote Giving Back. There is an expression that we should “give until it hurts.” I disagree. We should “give until it feels good.” And it really does!
