CANTON - This week's first snowfall provided a nice winter backdrop for the city's annual Light Up Downtown celebration on Dec. 3.

Mayor William V. Sherer II help illuminate the city’s Christmas tree at Central Plaza before fun acts hit the Centennial Plaza stage show under clear skies.

Other highlights included a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, fireworks and the 720 Market Village.
