CHARLOTTE, Tenn. (WSMV) - An investigation is underway after a school bus caught fire with kids on board on Wednesday, according to the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office.
DCSO said the bus was traveling along Highway 49 East when it caught fire. The bus driver pulled over at Ridge Market and evacuated the children.
The bus became fully engulfed in flames shortly after it was evacuated, DCSO said.
Believe Harpeth Ridge Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
DCSO said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
