CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools coach is no longer facing charges related to a shooting , court records show.
Dia'Mond Johnson was arrested in York County on two counts of shooting into an occupied property in mid-October. Authorities said this week that the charges were dropped because they didn't have sufficient evidence. According to documents obtained by WCNC Charlotte, investigators say shell casings found at the scene indicate there were multiple shooters and detectives cannot identify who the other shooter was.
Johnson was a non-faculty member coach at Ballantyne Ridge High School, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police .
