DALLAS, N.C. – A man died and two firefighters were injured in a mobile home fire near Dallas, North Carolina Wednesday morning.

Around 8 a.m., firefighters responded to Lynn Drive and rescued a man from the burning home, officials said. Despite life-saving efforts from paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two firefighters were treated for burns and other minor injuries, officials said.

The fire was under control in less than five minutes. The cause of the fire was determined to be combustible materials that were stored next to a heating source, according to authorities.
