A full list of conditions affected by an incoming Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) benefits overhaul have been revealed. Labour Party Health Secretary Wes Streeting has ordered an overhaul into how mental health conditions qualify for benefits claims.
Mr Streeting wants to target mental health conditions - with 4.4 million people now getting handouts. The plan from the Labour Party government means ADHD and autism diagnoses face major overhaul.
Stats show 8.9 million people in England are now on antidepressants, up from 6.9 million a decade ago. The DWP will now review autism, ADHD and conditions such as depression, now the most common reasons for claiming handouts.
