Temporary road closures, taxi pick-up points and alternative bus stops have been announced ahead of this year's Bishop Auckland's Christmas Town starting tonight.
The town is gearing up as its fifth annual Christmas Town celebration returns from Thursday to Sunday (December 4-7).
Last year, the event drew 32,000 people to the town centre.

Visitors can expect festive markets, fairground rides, street food, an ice rink, Santa’s Grotto and a packed schedule of family entertainment.
