Grand Theft Auto IV has finally received the remaster it deserves thanks to a dedicated fanbase. It looks like a new-gen release.

Recently Rockstar Games launched a new-gen port of the first Red Dead Redemption, allowing players to relive the story of John Marston with better resolution, framerate and DLC included.

It had a few teething problems though as free upgrades were promised to those who already owned the game on Xbox, though many users have reported that they’ve been unable to claim their freebie.

Another off-shoot of the Red Dead Redemption discourse has raised a very good point though, why haven’t we had a remastered port of Grand Theft Auto IV yet?

Nowadays it’s not a very pretty game to look at but it holds up when it comes to gameplay.
