BELOIT, Wis. — An interim city manager for Beloit has been chosen.

The Beloit City Council appointed Elizabeth Krueger as Interim City Manager on Dec. 2 after the previous City Manager, Jerry Gabrielatos, resigned on Nov. 25 . Krueger has served as interim city manager before, from August 2022 to February 2023.

Krueger was hired by the City of Beloit in May 2006. She has served as City Attorney since 2014, and as Deputy City Manager since 2015.

Besides having municipal legal expertise, Krueger was said to have a wide range of knowledge spanning city departments such as police, fire, public works, planning and development, economic development, finance, information technology, and human resources.
