A man has admitted having hundreds indecent images of children and trying to send messages to underage girls.

In the dock at Ipswich Crown Court on Thursday was Laurence Lewis-Jones, who pleaded guilty to 10 charges.

Three of these alleged that Lewis-Jones had attempted to sexually communicate with children under the age of 16. In court, it was confirmed that three charges related to schoolgirls aged 13, and the fourth to a 14-year-old.

Lewis-Jones also admitted attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity.

These offences took place between August 2022 and March 2024.

The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to three charges of making indecent images of children.

These images are ranked in categories A, B and C, with the most serious images being Category A.
