BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A camper fire in Beech Island is the latest in a string of blazes this week in the CSRA.

Aiken County officials say a camper fire broke out on the 100 block of Gladys Road just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When News 12 crews got to the scene a little after noon, there wasn’t much left of the trailer.

There are no additional details at this time, but one person may have been injured.

The camper was one of several along Gladys Road, a U-shaped gravel path off Sand Bar Ferry Road just across the state line from Augusta.
