BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Sixteen members of a prison gang have been convicted in Barrow County following an investigation into criminal activity directed from inside and outside cell walls.
Attorney General Chris Carr announced Wednesday the convictions of 1-8 Trey Gangster Bloods members, including its leader, Jamar “Supreme” Ramsay.
Ramsay, 42, and Brantavious Sims, 22, were both found guilty of all charges brought against them after a 24-day trial in Barrow County. The jury returned its verdict on Nov. 24.
While currently serving a life sentence at Hays State Prison for a previous murder charge, Ramsay told other defendants to take part in criminal activity to keep the gang’s enterprise going, according to court documents.
