ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — An Atlanta-area food bank that serves more than 700 north Georgia nonprofits has received a $750,000 grant to help improve its services.
The Atlanta Community Food Bank said the grant came from Walmart and Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks. The grant is part of an initiative to strengthen retailers’ ties with local food banks

With the funds, the food bank bought eight trucks and a van for seven partner agencies, allowing those agencies to pick up more donations from Walmart and Sam’s Club locations.
