New Update: A vulnerable 21-year-old Orange County man was found safe after going missing for nearly two weeks.

Antonio Price, who was reported missing by City of Middletown Police on Sunday morning, Nov. 23, was found on Wednesday evening, Dec. 3, in a shelter in a neighboring state, the department announced.

Price had last been seen at around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, leaving his home at 61 Sprague Ave. in the Fourth Ward area of Middletown, police said.

According to the department, he was "never in any real danger," and had secured temporary accommodations and had taken care of himself on his own.

"Many cases of this nature do not result in a favorable outcome, but we are relieved that this was not the case for Antonio," the department wrote on Wednesday.

Original Report: Authorities are intensifying their search for a vulnerable 21-year-old Orange County man who has been missing for days.

Antonio Price, who has autism and cerebral palsy, was last seen around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, leaving his home at 61 Sprague Ave. in the Fourth Ward area of Middletown, according to the City of Middletown Police Department.

Police first issued a public alert on early Sunday morning, Nov. 23, asking for help locating him, noting he may have been wearing a green jacket, camouflage pants, green shoes, and carrying a black backpack, possibly with a laptop inside.

In an updated statement released Sunday afternoon, investigators said they have been devoting “substantial effort and resources” to locating Price, with support from the New York State Police, Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and Town of Wallkill Police Department. Despite those efforts, his whereabouts remain unknown.

Police offered new details about Price’s abilities in hopes of refining the search. Although he has developmental disabilities, Price is able to communicate verbally and is physically mobile, officers said, explaining that he can cover “substantial distances” on foot and may walk with a noticeable limp.

He is also believed to have money and may seek out public transportation such as a bus or train, potentially traveling out of the immediate area.

Authorities stressed that they do not believe Price poses a danger to the public, but his family is deeply worried about his well-being.

"We continue to work with our law-enforcement partners, the family of Mr. Price, and our community resources in an effort to locate him," police said.

Anyone who sees Antonio Price or has information that may assist police is urged to call the City of Middletown Police Department immediately at 845-343-3151.
