Winnipeg police have arrested a 33-year-old man accused of carrying out a months-long retail theft spree involving more than $10,000 in merchandise taken from stores across the city.
Members of the Property Crime Unit were patrolling the Regent Avenue West area on Dec. 3 when they were notified that a man wanted in multiple theft investigations had entered a business he had previously targeted. Investigators soon saw the suspect drive away in a 2008 Dodge Avenger and conducted a traffic stop. He was arrested without incident.
