Two endangered horses have been born at a California zoo.
Officials San Diego Zoo Safari Park say two Przewalski (sheh-VAL-skee) horses have been born recently -- one on Sept. 30 and one Oct. 24.
The horses are considered endangered and declared extinct in native habitats in the 1980s.
The zoo says the breed's mothers are very attentive and keep their foals close to nurse, groom and sleep.
Both foals are females and female foals are called fillies.
