CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Dollar Tree’s CEO says the company is raising some prices to give customers more choices, even as shoppers say they are seeing price tags “slowly changing” in stores.

The company recently reported better sales than expected. It also increased its earnings forecast for the rest of the year. Leaders say people are still looking for low-cost items, and holiday and seasonal goods are selling well.

Shoppers on social media have posted pictures of new red price stickers on many everyday products. Some items that once cost $1 or $1.25 now cost $1.50, $1.75 or higher.
