QUEEN VALLEY, Ariz. — They were elderly, single, and had no children.
After they died, a Mesa husband-and-wife legal team -- attorney Jason Millett and his wife, fiduciary Shelice Millett -- became the personal representatives of their estates.
That allowed them to bill for their services while controlling the distribution of the assets, court records show.
A 12News I-Team investigation has found that the Milletts, since 2007, have become the executors of at least six estates belonging to elderly Valley residents after they died.
Their involvement is not illegal.
But relatives and friends of those who died are raising questions as to how the Milletts got involved.
