ASHBURN, Va. — Making moves to bring players like left tackle Laremy Tunsil to town had everyone believing the Washington Commanders were not only going ‘all-in’ on 2025, but had a good chance to cash out on doing so.

Unfortunately, the season hasn’t gone the way the Commanders or their supporters wanted it to, but that doesn’t make the moves made in the offseason bad ones, necessarily.

In the case of Tunsil specifically, the truth of the matter is that, for as bad as it’s gone in Washington this season, it would likely have been much worse had general manager Adam Peters not gone out and brought the veteran over from the Houston Texans. A move that offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury seems to be pretty appreciative of.
