Gilbert Memorial Park Cemetery and Funeral Home will host its fourth annual Remembrance Event on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at its grounds in Gilbert.

A sunset lantern release is scheduled for 5:19 p.m.

The event is open to the public and offers an opportunity for reflection and remembrance. Attendees can personalize candlelit water lanterns in memory of loved ones and add notes or tributes to Remembrance Trees.

Light refreshments will be served, and a local choir will perform. A local pastor will offer a brief prayer.

Hundreds of people have attended the event in previous years, which organizers describe as a time for healing and community support.
