SPARTA, Wis. (WKOW) -- More than 150 workers at an Actus Nutrition facility and two Foremost Farms plants put their employers on notice.

According to a news release, the workers, who are members of Teamsters Local 120, voted to authorize strikes.

The workers are from the following facilities and locations:

Actus Nutrition's protein facility, Sparta (recently acquired from Foremost Farms)

Foremost Farms cheese processing plant, Richland Center

Foremost Farms cheese processing plant, Lancaster

The employees claim that after Actus acquired the Sparta location, the company "refused to honor key benefits and worker protections in that agreement," a news release stated. Their specific grievances are over health care, pensions, picket-line protections, and maintenance-of-standards language.
