CANTON, Ohio — Grady Kinsey put together one of the greatest playing careers in Ohio high school football history. It's only fitting that his prep ride should end with the state's most prestigious on-field honor.
Kinsey, a senior at Indian Valley High School in Gnadenhutten, was named the 2025 winner of the Mr. Football award Thursday by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association. The running back and linebacker is the first player ever from Tuscarawas County to win the award, and just the third from Eastern Ohio.
"It's just such an honor," Kinsey told The Times-Reporter in New Philadelphia. "If you go on and look at the people who have won this award before me, it's like (Joe Burrow), Charles Woodson, Cade Stover. There are really some guys there."
