PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was limited on Thursday with an elbow injury. Porter’s elbow injury is a new one, as he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday. He dealt with a hip flexor injury a week ago, but played against the Buffalo Bills.
The Steelers will look to see if Porter can suit up against the Baltimore Ravens in what looks to be a must win game. If he can not, Asante Samuel Jr. would start. James Pierre is in the concussion protocol, but seems primed to clear it after a full practice on Thursday.
Porter has dealt with multiple injuries this year. He missed three games early this season with a hamstring strain before returning. While he has not missed a game since, Porter still has been banged up throughout the season.
