Hundreds of people in Murray County came together Thursday night to share their concerns over a proposed renewable natural gas facility in Southwest Chatsworth. Among those against the Vanguard Renewables facility, was Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

“You have a gigantic uphill battle on your hands. Gigantic. These people are not having it and we don’t care how much money you spend on your attorneys. We don’t care. They don’t care," said Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene during her time for public comment.

The congresswoman also told the crowd that the proposed project may be over early.

“I’ve been calling my good friend at the EPA. Citizens here have spotted an American bald eagle, as a matter of fact, a couple of them. That’s right. This is where my role comes in.
