A post-mortem has revealed the cause of the "suspicious" death of a man in Haverhill.
A murder probe was launched in Lord's Croft Lane, in Haverhill, on Tuesday evening following the death of a man in his 50s.
Emergency services had attended to the scene following reports a man had suffered serious injuries.
A woman, aged 61, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder but has now been bailed pending further enquiries.
His cause of death has been revealed by the Home Office as a fatal injury caused by a crossbow bolt.
On Thursday, detectives made an application for a warrant to extend the questioning of the woman, which was granted and due to run out just after 12.30pm today.
She has now been released on police bail until Monday, March 2, next year.
