The family of a beloved mum who died after contracting rabies from a dog scratch have asked whether or not the NHS was "ready" to deal with her ailment, a pre-inquest review has heard.

Yvonne Ford, 59, died four months after being "slightly" scratched by a puppy while on holiday in Morocco. She had contracted rabies from the scratch and died in hospital in Sheffield on June 11, YorkshireLive reports .
