The signs of economic development during Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan's 12 years in office are impossible to miss for any downtown visitor.
The newly occupied storefronts, the brand new skyscrapers, the numerous rehabbed older buildings and the now-bountiful options for places to go dine or drink.
While the Before Duggan and After Duggan contrast isn't as dramatic in most parts of the city outside of greater downtown, the mayor during his three terms did help to bring a significant amount of big new developments and jobs to areas of Detroit that ordinary visitors typically don't see.
