DETROIT -- Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch is feared to have suffered an Achilles injury, per NFL Network .
Branch was injured with 3:50 remaining in the fourth quarter of the team’s 44-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He went up trying to make a play on the ball in the end zone, and appeared to get his foot rolled up on by Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson.
The 24-year-old struggled to get to his feet and, after getting help to the sideline, was taken via medical cart off the field. There wasn’t much of an update after the game. But coach Dan Campbell said he is concerned anytime a player isn’t able to return to action.
Branch was spotted on crutches and in a walking boot after the game in the locker room.
According to the report, Branch will undergo further testing on Friday morning
