SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Two 14-year-olds from Sioux Falls are in custody following a chase in a stolen vehicle.
The incident happened in the morning of Thursday, December 4, in Lincoln County.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report around 8:21 am of a stolen SUV on I-29 near Beresford.
The vehicle was quickly located, but due to traffic, the driver stopped the vehicle in the middle of I-29, and both he and the passenger took off running.
Both teens were caught by deputies and arrested.
Authorities later learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Omaha, Nebraska.
The two juveniles in the stolen vehicle were sent to juvenile holding facilities in Sioux Falls.
