Text messages Brian Walshe sent to his wife, Ana, in early January 2023 depict a concerned husband growing increasingly worried when his wife fails to respond to urgent messages asking where she is.
But by the time Brian Walshe was sending the texts, he knew his wife was dead.
The messages were introduced into evidence on the 5th day of Walshe’s murder trial Friday morning. Walshe is accused of killing and dismembering his wife on New Year’s Day 2023, then hiding her remains in dumpsters across the state and misleading the police investigation into her disappearance.
In their opening statement, Walshe’s defense claimed he found his wife dead in their home in the early morning of Jan. 1, 2023 and panicked.
