NWS says to expect snow to north, freezing drizzle in south. See Doppler radar

Winter weather will could make driving dicey this weekend across Michigan, with snow and freezing rain in the forecast.

" A few flurries are possible early Saturday morning , followed by the potential for accumulating snow on Sunday. Temperatures hold below normal," the Detroit National Weather Service office said on X on Dec. 5.

Northern Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula are expected to see up to 6 inches of snow through Friday, Dec. 5. And snow is forecast to continue through the weekend statewide, with the most accumulating along Lake Michigan's northern shoreline and the eastern UP.
