A 19-year-old was taken to a hospital after being shot in Hartford on Friday.

Police responded to 61 Park River Drive at 11:44 a.m. on the report of someone being shot and found a gunshot victim outside the residence, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .

Boisvert said the victim, a 19-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His injury was not considered life-threatening.

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation, which remains ongoing.
