DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A former youth golf program director accused of sexually abusing a child is now also facing drug charges.
After 38-year-old Scott Stowe’s arrest Wednesday, investigators searched his home and found about 4 grams of psilocybin mushrooms in two jars labeled “Christmas Cheer,” a bong and a small amount of marijuana, according to court documents filed Friday.
Stowe is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, first offense, with bond set at $5,000 and a preliminary hearing scheduled for Dec. 12 in Davenport.
Stowe also faces one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child. According to court documents, he sexually abused a child between the ages of 11 and 14 in his car and home between 2021 and 2024.
