AUBURN, Ala. (WTVM) - Auburn Police arrested a 41-year-old Auburn man Tuesday on charges related to multiple vehicle break-ins last month.

Derrick Nelson was arrested Dec. 3 on warrants charging him with four counts of unlawful breaking and entering into a vehicle and two counts of theft of property fourth degree.

The charges stem from a report Auburn Police received Nov. 19 of multiple auto burglaries. Several vehicles parked in the 200 block of South College Street were unlawfully entered and items were stolen.

Police developed Nelson as a suspect and obtained arrest warrants after further investigation. Nelson was located and arrested Dec. 3, then transported to the Lee County Jail where he is being held on $14,000 bond.
