The suspect in last month’s deadly shooting at Fox Hollow after a youth soccer practice has had bail posted.
A family member posted $250,000 bail for 36-year-old Luke Simonson, who is charged with killing another parent, Timothy Grosdidier, following an argument in the parking lot after a child was reportedly nearly struck by a vehicle.
Anchorage Police say Simonson told investigators that Grosdidier “just came at him” and appeared aggressive, though he did not have a weapon. The shooting was witnessed by several people, including children.
Simonson faces charges of first- and second-degree murder, as well as third-degree assault. It’s not yet clear when he will be released or what conditions will apply, and the next court hearing is scheduled for January 2026.
