VERONA, Wis. (WMTV) -With Christmas just weeks away, shipping deadlines are approaching for those hoping to get gifts delivered on time.
Melissa Ross, who owns the UPS store in Verona, said customers are shipping packages later each year as busy schedules interfere with holiday planning.
“We are so busy in our day to day lives it seems like people are shipping later and later every year,” Ross said.
Key shipping deadlines
December 19 is the last day to ship packages via ground transit if customers want them to arrive by December 24, Ross said. However, military families face an earlier deadline.
“If you are looking to ship items to a loved one that is serving right now make sure that you send that out at least a week and a half prior to the holiday to make sure that it gets there,” sh
