BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KSLA) - The Bossier Parish Police Jury has passed its 2026 budget, with particular focus on major road and infrastructure improvements.
TRANSPORTATION
The police jury says more than $30 million has been designated for road and infrastructure improvements. Officials say the East/West Corridor will be improved using $17.5 million, much of which is coming from federal funds. The project will involve design, surveys, and right-of-way acquisition.
Other traffic improvements include:
$1.3 million for Highway 157 traffic study in Haughton using state funds
$4.5 million for capacity improvements on Bobby Byrd and Frank Staton, plus a new turn lane at Airline Drive and Swan Lake Road
