SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Improvements are being made across Sarasota Bay. Phase 2 of “The Bay” project has a total cost of $65 million.
Step one is the canal district, an area around the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, just south of the 10th Street Boat Ramp.
One of the first puzzle pieces were set in place with the completion of the floating docks on the south side of the 10th Street Basin.
Parking at these docks on the water will soon be paid parking, Sarasota City Commissioner Kyle Battie, who also sits on the board of “The Bay,“ says docking fees will be similar to downtown Sarasota parking and the parking across the water at the boat ramp.
