SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Preparations were underway Friday afternoon for Saturday night’s 29th annual Downtown Sarasota Holiday Parade along Main Street, where thousands of people are expected to come out for a night of live music and entertainment.

“It’s really a happy time... for all of us to come together,” said Linda Gould, Admin for Sarasota Holiday Celebration Inc. “There’s nothing political; there’s nothing contentious. It’s all just about, ‘Hey, that’s a cool float, or look at that costume,’” she explained.
