OMAHA, Neb. —
One person was taken to the hospital after a house fire.
The incident happened in the area of 30th and S streets around 1:20 p.m. on Friday.
Firefighters arrived at the scene of a two-story residence, finding "heavy smoke and flames" coming from a back window.
Crews worked to put out the flames.
One person was home at the time of the fire, and they were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Two dogs were killed in the incident.
Omaha Fire Department said the blaze displaced three people, and the Red Cross has been notified to help them.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
